In the Basel tri-border area
300 m from the Swiss border, right on tram line 8 (Riedlistrasse/Kesselhaus stop), close to the A5 motorway and with parking on site. Quickly accessible for teams from Germany, Switzerland and France.
Frequently asked questions about the photo location
How big is the room?
The room offers 48 m² of floor space with a 7.50 m ceiling — room for up to 25 people, depending on the seating setup.
Is the location a fully equipped photo studio?
No — you rent the space in the Kesselhaus as a location. You bring your own flash systems, backdrops and camera equipment. In return you get authentic industrial charm and plenty of daylight.
How much space and height do I have?
The large room offers space for productions with up to 25 people — with a 7.50 m ceiling height. Plenty of headroom for light stands, booms and large setups.
Can I have the furniture cleared away?
Yes. Conversion to open floor space is available as an optional flat-rate service — you arrive and the space is clear.
Can I also film or shoot at the weekend?
Yes. The location is bookable 7 days a week — including Saturdays and Sundays.
Is there parking for unloading?
Yes. Parking spaces are located directly in front of the building and can optionally be booked at a daily rate of EUR 6,- plus VAT. 90 minutes free of charge.
Is catering available for the crew?
Yes. On request we organise catering — and right in the Kesselhaus there is a restaurant with a daily lunch menu.
How much does the photo location cost?
From EUR 39,- per hour (with the 10-session card). Half day from EUR 99,-, full day from EUR 159,- plus VAT — considerably cheaper than comparable locations in Basel.
