7.50 m ceiling height
The open industrial architecture of the Kesselhaus gives you room to breathe — even for lifts and dynamic formats.
Open floor space
Tables and chairs can be moved aside. Conversion to open floor space is available as an optional flat-rate service.
Music at moderate room volume
The bizzcenter is an office building: music is possible at moderate room volume, and somewhat louder in the evening by prior arrangement. Music box or speakers available to rent.
Air-conditioned
Fully air-conditioned, included in the rental price — pleasant even during sweat-inducing classes.
Kitchen & lounge
Refill your water, take a break, have a chat: the kitchen and lounge area are open to you and your participants.
Two room sizes for your classes
Both rooms are flooded with daylight and air-conditioned. You are welcome to bring your own sound system and equipment.
Tip for weekly classes
With the 10-session card you save 15% on all bookings — ideal if your class takes place every week. The hourly rate is only bookable with the 10-session card.

A historic industrial building full of charm: 7.50 m ceiling height, open architecture and plenty of daylight. A backdrop with character that sets your classes apart from ordinary gym halls.
In the Basel tri-border area
300 m from the Swiss border, right on tram line 8 (Riedlistrasse/Kesselhaus stop), close to the A5 motorway and with parking on site. Your participants arrive easily from Germany, Switzerland and France.
Frequently asked questions about the dance room
How big is the room?
The room offers 48 m² of floor space with a 7.50 m ceiling — room for up to 25 people, depending on the seating setup.
Is the room a classic dance studio?
No — it is a large multi-purpose room in the Kesselhaus, without a mirror wall and without a sprung floor. In return you get plenty of open floor space, 7.50 m ceiling height and a special industrial atmosphere. For many class and rehearsal formats, that is exactly right.
How loud can it get?
The bizzcenter is an office building — music is therefore possible at moderate room volume. In the evening, a bit more is possible by prior arrangement. Just get in touch and we will find a suitable time.
Can I book the room regularly every week?
Yes. Many customers book fixed weekly slots. With the 10-session card you save 15% on all bookings.
Is there a sound system?
Can the tables and chairs be cleared away?
Yes. Conversion to open floor space is available as an optional flat-rate service — you arrive and the room is fully prepared.
Can I also book in the evening or at the weekend?
Yes. The room is bookable 7 days a week — including Saturdays and Sundays.
Is parking available?
Yes. Parking spaces are located directly in front of the building and can optionally be booked at a daily rate of EUR 6,- plus VAT. 90 minutes free of charge.
How do my participants reach the room by public transport?
Tram line 8 from Basel, Riedlistrasse/Kesselhaus stop — right outside the door. The Swiss border is only 300 m away.
How much does the dance room cost?
From EUR 39,- per hour for Room L (with the 10-session card). Half day from EUR 99,-, full day from EUR 159,- plus VAT.
